The Cobb and Co museum in Toowoomba is part of the Queensland Museum and is home to the National Carriage Collection. It’s a fantastic place to visit in South East Queensland and always has an exciting display or workshop to check out.

The collection features Cobb+Co coaches and a large range of vehicles from the horse drawn era like farm wagons, delivery carts, omnibuses and the Rolls Royce of carriages, the landau.

It’s also a fantastic centre for discovering the natural and cultural history of Toowoomba and the Darling Downs.

The museum also offers popular heritage workshop programs that include one and two day weekend workshops in trades such as blacksmithing, silversmithing, leadlighting, leatherwork, stonemasonry and copper foiling. These workshops are conducted in a custom built Factory area and are a perfect gift for older Dads this Father’s day!

The museum is open from 10am to 4pm daily and is closed on Christmas Day, Anzac Day and Good Friday.

There is a great coffee shop on site to relax and enjoy a light meal and there’s also a large children’s play area.
